I put on the porshe challenge demo and i used to own the full game but didn't have the analog controller at the time. The led came on showing that the sticks were supported and then the left one was your steering and the right one was your accelerator/brake, not as sensitive as the dual shock 2 but it's proves a point that Sony did think up the idea WAY before anyone else.
Porsche challenge is made by SCEE and is almost FIVE years old, dreamcast ain't made yet so they couldn't have ripped off the triggers and come to think of it i don't think Nintendo even had their rumble pack out yet, which is another thing this game used.
Nintendo may have been the first to have a directional analog stick but Sony took it one step further.
res :-)
Sony have thought of some cool things, there's a list in this PS2 mag, the betamax vcr, the 3.5 inch floppy disk, the world's first cd player in 1982 and the PSX :-D
Don't think I'm supporting Sony or anything, personally I don't like their microsoft type attitude but they gave me the Playstations so, me happy :-)
That was in... 1996 I think.
DEATH TO YOU RES! :o)

Best point in the whole thread. SOny are just a company that takes an idea to the next level. they never really come up with anything original, but just swipe ideas from the next company and produce a better product...i dunno if i'm just chatin crap now or what, but sisnt Sharp bring out the first Mini-disc player? its just that i remember my mate bringing back a Sharp MD back from hong-kong before i had even heard of them. but today, sony do make the best MD players.
Then theres the VCR. JVC created that, but sony make the best ones...then there is TVs...well i dont know who created them but nothing messes with a sony wega.
Good god.
I've only got 3 PSX games now, mind you, as I got rid of them when I gave away my PSX to my brother-in-law. Not that I had that many in the first place.
I might start collecting them again now that they can be picked up for £5 each. Modern classic gaming (or something)
What is there for dinner?
