Only yoking, the game's pretty good from what I've played. Maverick mate, I know it's your opinion, but we all know that you're chatting out ya ar$e. Welldone for trying it out an all, but at the end of the day, even if you did like it, you were never gonna admit to it. I can't help but feel, if the game came out on Cube then you wouldn't be anywhere near as harsh on it.
I just can't get over the fact that you love spewing out the faults you see in Brute Force to anyone who asks if it's any good. Yet you seem to have something of an unhealthy love for Jedi Knight 2 on Gamecube, one of the single most pathetic ports i've ever played, that game has so many bugs it's just not funny.
Brute Force ain't amazing, there's many things bad I could say about it. But at the end of the day, it's a good fun, brainless shooty game. Though I suppose if you start off with a negative attitude before you even play the game, I doubt you're really gonna give it much of chance.
Most appaling controls.
Most ponderous targeting system.
Most generally crap overall feel to a game.
Most wooden and cliched characters in a game.
Graphics over gameplay.
Apalling abuse of Xbox Live compatability - 2 multiplayer maps do not make it a Live game...
In short, Maverick was right - first time I can remember agreeing with him - and Games TM was right, and, in a continuing trend, OXM and Xgamer were totally wrong.
*sings "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to Gamestation or eBay you go" to his copy of Brute Force*
"Get Halo and Jedi Knight, theres nothing else great really, wait for the better games to come out"
Which I think may of pee'd off a few people Mav. But now that you mentioned that its YOUR opinion, and not fact - thats cool.
Good man.
Better be careful, or I might turn into TGMBloke..

*pats Mav's head*
That's ma boy!

Really? I thought Halo would be ultra-fantastic before I played it; amazing, revolutionary, etc. Well, it's a great game - but despite my high expectations, I was left feeling disappointed. This, I wasn't afraid to admit, just like I'm not afraid to admit that I don't enjoy Brute Force.
I like playing Xbox a lot - all five of my games I really enjoy and I'm very excited about the future of the console, which I think is arguably the best out of all three major players. And and anyone who knows me well will know that Morrowind is one of my favourite games ever, and I think that Knights of the Old Republic and Deus Ex 2 will both be fantastic.
The reason I may seem negative, is because for me as a gamer, there's not much to suit my tastes at this present moment - which I admit I do tend to mention frequently. So I'm sorry if it seems I'm biased against the console, but that's really not the case.
Brute Force is fun - played it round a mate's today.
And I'm the first to admit Jedi Knight 2 has awful bugs, that's why I've sold it and have ordered it for Xbox (apparently a much better port). All I'm saying when I praise it is that it's a great game.
We gotta keep it going somehow.
