My collegue is telling me that petrol is clear, but I don't believe him, I think its dark grey, because if you buy a top that is petrol colour its like a charchol grey colour. Diesel too? If you buy Diesel colour clothes they would be blue.

He is alos trying to tell me that tax-free petrol that farmers and lorry drivers use is pink!

Can someone colloberate or refute his story?

Petrol is kinda of a shiny grey colour. Diesel is blacker and I dunno about the pink stuff.

As a frequent petrol drinker, I can confirm that petrol is a liquid.

As a driver I can confirm petrol is a clear liquid, slightly yellow.

When I was a lot younger, my dad was trying to sort out a problem with his old car - for some reason fed the tube that carries the petrol to a milk bottle so that it doesn't get burnt up (I think there was something clogging up the pipe). The petrol coming out was indeed a yellow colour.

Once I pulled the pump out of the car while there still a little petrol in the pump and it came out clear. Same with diesel.
