WARNING, THIS TOPIC IS DESIGNED TO START AN ARGUMENT
OK, so everyone always goes on about how Shigsy oozes originality, but does he really? From what I can see, he's made virtually nothing but platformers and platformer sequels all his life.
Also, is Nintenod really more original than Sony overall, because from what I can see the GameCube is going to be nothing but sequels, save the odd one-off like Pikmin and Super Monkey Ball (developed by Sega, though). Currently there are loads of original games on the PS2, and don't give me all that "The Ps2's been out longer" bullcrap, it's Nintendo's fault for being late.

the playstation has a lot of original games but because they are original the good ideas have gone so they are rubbish! Loads of original rubbish on the PS.

Well I would have to say that the PS2,although I am yet to see anything impressive, will be a huge success. I found the PS1 to be the best console so far that has been released due to the sheer amount of games that it had to offer but now there seems to be big competition from others and Microsoft want a piece of the action. Who really knows what will happen but if it's judged on the looks of the console then I think the GameCube will win even if it's dropped from a 100 story high building.
