I suggest just using a DVD player, get one for your room even.
Whether chipping it would make a difference I don't know. Ask Hercules as he's got his chipped [shock horror :-) ] and I know he's got a few VCDs.
can't help anyway only time i tried making a vcd the thing wouldn't fit on the disc so i just left it in its .avi format and put it on a cd that way
I'm fairly sure the answer is no though although i may be proved wrong
