I got a few that I've done myself and I want to know if there is a way to play them on my PS2 as I don't want to watch them on the dvd player downstairs. Something tells me that it's not possible but it's worth asking. Thanks to anyone that bothers to reply with a sensible answer.

No, doesnt work.

You can play DVD-Rs though, and you dont need your PS2 chipped to do that.

I suggest just using a DVD player, get one for your room even.

I've tried this before when a mate lent me a couple of VCD films, admittedly my PS2 isn't chipped but it never worked.

Whether chipping it would make a difference I don't know. Ask Hercules as he's got his chipped [shock horror :-) ] and I know he's got a few VCDs.

Mabye a chipped PS2 or Xbox could manage it. Xbox is more likely to because of the HD for VCD reading software..
