Timesplitters 2

I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.

So go on what have you been playing? and why?

Completed Paper Mario. Wonderful game. The boss-after-boss last level wasn't even annoying either. Just brilliant all the way through. Plus, you get to go back to the game after completing it.

Now, onto Metroid and Tales.

Nonono. It would be interesting I guess but it's an American storyline in American comicbook style. Not an Japanese anime.

XIII 2 and BG&E 2 where are you? *vainly tries to prod Ubi's ass into gear*

They could make it more like an anime' film or something, then that opens up a whole new realm of design posibilities and still keep it's almost cartoon feel.

Yep, I plan to go back to XIII this week. Not sure why, I just suddenly feel drawn to play through it again.

I'm hoping that maybe Ubi will do a POP2, in that even though XIII hardly reached expected sales targets, they'll make a sequel and tweak it slightly so it will appeal more to the mass market. Although quite what they'd do it, they can hardly removed the cel-shaded graphics.

I've decided once I've finished playing Paper Mario I'm going back to this.

How I long for a XIII 2.

Paper Mario 2 - loving this game to pieces, Creepy Steeple isn't that bad! There's a bit of backtracking but it's not that bad. Crimeny.

Tales of Symphonia - Great game, if a little cliched. By little, I mean an awful lot. But still great.

MP2: Echoes - Genius. No other word. Took a few hours to get going and then suddenly, I was head over heels in love with Metroid again. Perfectly made game.

Halo 2 - On Live. Greatest online game I've ever played. Just keeps on giving, after hours and hours and hours of it.

Oh, I definitley prefer the adventure-side of things this time around - hey, failing three-times at the final boss; this is MILES closer than I came to finishing either of the other two games!

I like almost everything about it. And while there is a good amount to smile at in many places (wait 'til you come to the whole "Luigi" thing with Pennington), I miss things like the references to older Nintendo games - just like we got in Superstar Saga.

I know there's that little Toad in the koopatown, but, as a fellow GameCube owner, are we to believe he plays only THREE games throughout the 40+ hours of this theatre-come-to-life story!?
(That's how long it's taken me, anyway.)

He clearly found Echoes too tough, also! ;D

Not rescue Princess Peach in a Mario adventure???

Please.

Fantastic game.

I find it better than Superstar Saga and the original.

I have now VERY NEARLY finished Paper Mario 2.

What a game it's been, though. Can't say I found anywhere near as funny as Superstar Saga or the original though, but I've really enjoyed the game al the same (aside from the occasional back-tracking, too many times - like in Creepy Steeple! :P ).

I beat that X-Naut bloke in the giant robot (at the second attempt - that special move of his is a real killer, literally!), crossed through the door, crawled through the palace... And now, I've just got to find these seven pedastals I have all these keys for, beat the bad guy and then rescue Princess Peach (and I was led to believe this was something you WOULDN'T have to do in this game, for once??).
