I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.
So go on what have you been playing? and why?
Tis mainly because I've recently bought The Matrix Reloaded film and has dragged me back to the game.
The driving sections are terrible, and fighting isn't perfect and the character animation is hilarious.
However, I find all but the driving (and the end level) fun. I just find it satisfying to beat up a load of cops, or cut them to pieces with bullets, with the bullet time effects in motion, being based on one of me favourite movies.
Not the best game in the world, but it isn't too bad.
That's why :D

It was a question... why are you playing it? Fancy giving it a go? Enjoy it? Wanted to catch up on the Matrix world?
Why?
Simple question.
I've never played the game.

I thought you had more intelligence than that.
Why would I choose to play a game? Because I despise it?
Started a new season with Villa on World Class.
I'm 14th after playing 9 games, winning 1, drawing 4 and losing 4.
This afternoon I have been playing:
A lot of multiplayer. :)
Dredd vs Death deathmatch:
I finally got on the multiplayer with a mate and we had a 14 player deathmatch because it let us have 12, yes 12, bots! It seems to be very much Quake but you can only have 2 weapons at a time (like Halo). I haven't played much but what I have played has been really good. There doesn't appear to be any auto-aim (except when using the Lawgiver's heat seeking rounds) and this adds to it's Quakeyness.
The design of the multiplayer levels I've played on so far has been good, there is one massive level which we played a 14 player deathmatch with each player having 10 lives. It was a long tactical game.
Rallisport Challenge:
Pushing each other over cliffs, crashing, recovering and crashing again. :D
Had some good close races on this today, very fast and very cool. I certainly prefer it's multiplayer to PGR: going offroad and cutting corners really makes the difference.
Freedom Fighters:
Finally fired up the multiplayer, it seems like an amalgamation of Brute Force's multiplayer with the more manic squad approach of State of Emergency and based around a king of the hill by hoisting the flag idea.
Really very good, only played one multiplayer level so far though so plenty more to find out.
Lately I have mostly been playing Madden 2004. But that will all stop over the next couple of weeks after Vj, F Zero, Rebel Strike and Mario .
