I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.
So go on what have you been playing? and why?
Deathrow
Its like having an extra 16 tracks.
It actually makes some tracks better!
2 player vs and co-op Rainbow Six 3 via system link ( :D :D )
Mario Kart multi ( :D :D )
I cut through most of Mario Kart with only a short amount of play
50cc and 100c are done (including the special cup) and I have the Toad team.
150cc is also steadily crumbling too as I unlocked Luigi's Mansion last night.
And as for DK Mountain, it's annoying!!
As well-designed and good-looking as it may be, they just knew exactly where to put those holes in the ground and there's just one-U-bend-too-many, for my liking!
I'm not a great Mario Kart player, so it just makes thing worse!
I also hate Dry Dry Desert - especially when some Muppet decides to use Lightning on me as I'm sliding around the outside of that giant patch of quicksand!! :@
But yes, I still love this game... For some reason!
Yes, I'm giving F-Zero more time now, and I am starting to get stuck into it more. Only problem is that, even on Novice mode, I'm finding much of it to be hard-as-nails!
In that second cup, I can make top-3 finishes in almost all of the first-four races, but cannot even FINISH the final race as I have to Retire too many times! That's one thing I hate about this game... It acts like you have an un-limited number of Continues; but then, suddenly, you realise you don't, and have to re-start, all-over-again!!
...And this is ONLY on the Easy setting!! :S
I like the Story mode, also. Great cut-scenes, good story and great music, too ("I'm a Hero in the F-Ze-ro!!" - Heh.). Only problem is having to waste hard-earnt points on unlocking the next challenge.
As for Mario Kart, I'm finding this game to be much-like the N64 game, also. It starts off very-easy in 50cc mode, and you presume the rest of the game will follow-suit... But it doesn't! And 150cc can be tough, too, with all the "cheating" CPU-racers - especially Wario!!
I hate those Giant Bowser Shells... I HATE Baby Mario's Giant Chain-Chomp-Mace-Thing!! And I hate that DK Mountain track, too! :@
But, really, underneath it all, I love this game. :)
