I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.
So go on what have you been playing? and why?
Super Mario World was great, I had lots of fun playing througg it, but it's also highly overrated. Brilliant game, yes, but far from the best game ever in my opinion. After I completed it I never feltthe need to replay it, but Super Mario Bros. has seen me going back again and again over the years, it's a timeless masterpiece and I find no complexities in gameplay beat an unsurpassed, raw game.
Again, this is my opinion, I can see why it may be too simpel for some compared to more recent Mario titles, but it's just so... perfect. Seamless platforming action squashed into one game.
But, after it came today, I'm sure I'll not be playing Tony Hawk's 4, instead... :)

You are joking?

B******.
Nothing will surpass Super Mario World. It has so much to give and (pseudo)diversity that meant you didn't get bored. SMB just got dull after the 8th world. Sure it was a great game, no argument, but SMW beats it hands down, anyday.
I gave Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 a go earlier... well I think I did... could have been the first one for all the differences.
Great game but I'm starting to get a bit bored of it. Currently on Terminal Hospitality. Haven't given it a proper go yet, I just keep going back to Jacuzzi Job, Temple City Ambush and Basement Killing for some mass murdering fun with my trusty SP-12.
SNES ~ Syndicate and Super Mario World.
Syndicate is a great game that's bloody fun and quite challenging.
SMW is, to this day, still the best game ever made.

Heh, I had been trying to sell my Dreamcast lately, but after some more consideration I decided to keep the console plus the two Shenmue games, and then just sell the rest of the games seperately.
So I got all the other games sold and went to look at the memory card to see what I could delete off it, and then I noticed that for some reason, all my Shenmue 2 data had been wiped! First I was pretty peeved off but then I thought, 'Oh well, at least I have an excuse to play through it again' so it hasn't been a complete loss.
