We've been a bit quiet about this. Frankly i am concerned about the lack of eurovision song contest debates. Think of all the ranting and slating we can do on this topic. I would like to invite you ALL to come in and join in the early discussion party!

Leave your gifts with me on the left and anyone didn't give me one can walk into the spike pit on the right. Oh, there will be no nibbles, music, dancing, games or porn. Feel free to bring any of these along. Preferably include rat poison, crap rock, dirty dancing, russian roultette/kiss chase and necrophila. But anything will be fine. Just make sure to introduce your posts with an item of any of those catergories (Nibbles, music, dancing, games, porn anything that would be suitable for a party. A donkey, a stripper, torch, body guards whatever)!

My, my, where to begin the competition is getting naffier each year with the english entries getting more and more worse each year! not like there were many decent acts tbh.

But what about the competition? well lets have a listen on youtube:

- Denmark

- Iceland

- Portugal

- Spain

- Andorra

- Lithuania

- Ukraine

- Croatia

- Netherlands

- Malta

- Poland

- Armenia

- Sweden

- Czech Republic

- Bulgaria

- Israel

- Serbia

- Greece

- Slovenia

- United Kingdom

- Macedonia

- Finland

- Georgia

- Turkey

- Cyprus

- Belarus

- Germany

- Switzerland

Thats the most so far, who do you think has the chance to win?

Oh Jesus, don't look at ours.
Derval (or however you spell her name) cannot sing.
There were 4 songs, and they managed to pick the worst one.
Fools.

I have nothing to do, so I'll just comment on every single one.....

Anyway, that list isn't all the entries. They need to have the semi-final first to remove some countries and come up with the final list.

I watched the mammoth Spanish search for a Eurovision entry last month.

Forget one stupid show where you chose a singer and their song, that's just too easy. They had about 7 shows, over the week, and each singer/group had to perform all the songs.

Then you'd wittle the entries down to the final 3 groups and 3 songs and choose the best group and the song you liked the most.

There were some really nice looking girls (though I got nasty looks from the misses when I found out the one I liked the most was only 16...whoops!) but the guys won it in the end. It was the best choice too, for once. They're a bit like any other europop boy band, but fairly good singers and I can see them doing well in the Spanish charts too.

As for the UK group, hah. That French woman was robbed, but as the UK never really takes it as seriously as other countries, it doesn't really matter that we have the Fast Food song Part 2, does it?

Just to show how seriously the other countries take it all, the winner of the 2005 Kids Eurovision (a Spanish girl with all the annoying charm of a sickly sweet kid star) is still going strong on the back of her win, she's a national hero!

I didn't see any of the other acts just the performance at the end.

And what's with the prissy gift-attitude stuff? You coming-out on the forums or something? :D

I really did prefer the act that didn't win. Scooch could well be the next gemini.

funny, didn't the english entries get progressively worse ever since we put forward gemini.

EDIT: Incidently, where is my gift? What have you brought into the thread? Nothing? Into the spike pit damn you!*

*Make sure you find out what to bring in the other thread(s)!

I caught the end of it. When the winning English (British?) [Edit: ah UK, haha - we really don't want to win do we?] act was chosen.

If you're going to do a song dressed up as airline personnel you have to do the theme from The High Life. That was a funny show.
