The CESA (computer Entertainment Supplier's Association), has recently conducted an analysis of the Japanese games market and brought up a rather interesting fact.
Games development on the GameCube is currently the most expensive of all the formats with an average cost per game of ¥72Million (€525,000).
The cheapest console to develop for was the PSOne, with an average cost of ¥14Million (€102,000).
This data is based on the analysis of results obtained from 43 Japanese software producers."

That's becuase Ninty does all the best games, so if you want quality over crappyness anytime you have to pay them a little bit more.
Anyway the PSone should never even be alive at the moment, talk about relics it's over 12 years old for christ sake, it's as repetitive as the Terminator movies.

I'm not a developer therefore I couldn't give one iota of a crap.
