8 years later Mario appeared for the very first time on the SNES and was by far the most popular and well known characters in gaming history. 7 years later Mario appeared yet again, this time on the Nintendo, Super Mario 64. Along with Perfect Dark, it proved to be the most popular game on the Nintendo.
Over the next 4 years Mario was appearing all the time with: Super Mario Deuluxe for the Game Boy, Mario Party 12and3, Mario Paper and Super Smash Bros. These proved to be some of the most well known, popular and most selling and took the world by storm.
Now over the next year we will see another two Mario games, this time on the GameCube. These games are mario Sunshine and another mario game that hasn't been named.
So the most popular game characters? Maybe, but there have also been other magor his for different consoles such as, Crash Bandicoot and Sonic but they didn't appear on toys as did Mario believe it or not!
And so I think Mario is the best after appearing in and on so many things,
And so I give him a rating of-100%!
Back to mario ....
after super mario advance 2 (super mario world) which mario game will be released next in the series?
I would probably guess at super mario bros. 3
It's a real shame about the Advanced Wars game, I was looking forward to that being released.
I just read

NOOOOO!!!!!!! this can't be true!

Like all Franchises, Crash Bandicoot started with one very good game.
After that, something went wrong and they just tried characterise him as Sony's equivilant for Mario.
Just as Digimon was Sony trying to do a "Pokemon"
However, before Crash became a major franchise (I.E. when they made the first game) they lifted more from Donkey Kong Country than Mario.
Personally, I con't care that they copied a few of Rare's ideas.
They made a game full of character, brilliant graphics, a new 3D twist and yet it still had classy, classic platforming.
I'd say that its the true 3D incarnation of Donkey Kong COuntry.
So this topic is about Mario?
Oh.. er...
Mario Sunshine does look nice...

I just read that Advance Wars wont be released down here, becasue of all the crap going with USA and Afganistan.

It might have been a demo machine with controllers, but the shop staff were having quite a lot of difficulty setting it up, they were holding wires and kept repeating the instructions about where to put them, so I left them to it.
