One of the measures being discussed by governments around the world to combat terrorism is ID cards. These cards could hold information about you including your age (date of birth), medical records, fingerprints, retinal scan, X ray info, a photo, credit rating etc...
This not only brings up questions about matters such as "your right to privacy" but brings the possibilty that these cards could be issued at birth.
Maybe in a few years time in order to play Quake V youll have to swipe your card down the side of the Playstation 3 in order to verify your age. What will ID cards mean, how will they effect to our lives, discuss!

Your right, it would be horrible, I can't imagine playing crappy kid's games until I'm 18! i'm glad that blood and gore games and films are avaliable to the young and old, the thing might be, if you have an older brother or sister, you could borrow their card while playing Quake v, maybe they'll be imprinted into our brains and the PS3/4/5...will have transmitters and will be able to read the cards from inside our skulls. Nice, privacy and lieing about your age is all part of life.
