As one of the most frequent visitors ti this forum, I see it as my little baby. Over the past few months, I've watched it gradually grow with more regulars, such as Andi, cjh and Reaper, and with the prefix of "Web Design", this forum is growing ever more poular.

However, the forum is just beind "used". Where as forums like the FOG are everr-popular, with people visiting regularly and generally having fun, the Web Design forum is merely being "used" for question and such like. Well, no longer! I want to turn this forum into a proper community. I want activities, I wnt games, I want people to enjoy it here, rather than just answer people's questions.

So, here's my WD forum pledge:

To get more of a group feel here
To start games
To start a group forum project (we'll talk about this later)
To have more competitions (not necessarily with prizes ;-))
To generally increase the level of posts here

So, who's with me? Up the mighty 206!

To be honest, I reckon there should be more of an emphasis on the PC in general (not games) in this forum. Even though it does say "PC" up on the forum title, no-one hardly ever posts a topic based solely on PC stuff.

Meh.

Its not my job to decide gads or gubbins. The best people to talk to are Mr Snuggly and Loki. They are in charge of GAD.

This forum will never, ever win GAD, at all. How about:

Gubbinaday.co.uk or Gubbinaweek.co.uk!

The best/most helpful post of the day/week wins £30 to buy a gubbin for his/her PC. You could accumulate wins to buy more expensive stuff.

YES! and so all we have to do, is each time change it to even more vile colours to get people to post more! we could even have a "Vile message board colour of the week" to guarrantee hundreds of excited people hitting each week to see the new look...

If we don't do this tho, we'll have to think of _something_ to get more posts - it does seem a shame that the longest threads are simply complaints about abuse of the board for advertising, or posting in the wrong topic etc!

Great idea there from TrevUK, we'd have thousands of posts! Most of which would say "CHANGE THE GODAMN COLOURS!"

Change the colour. I don't like the grey. Make it pink and yellow. That's bound to get more people posting.

I'm totally against GAD. Did you see that other post about MSN??? Jeez, that was an essay. That guy/girl had no interest in this community or the forum, and just posted to win a game.

I'll buy people like that a game to never post here again.

This forum never wins GADs. People might post here more if it did, and more people would know it was here and what it was about if posts were on the GAD winners list...
