Thing is, when I saw the back of the box...
"can be played 2 players simultaneous"
Damn lazy LucasArts.
Did they bother with 4 player for the Xbox version?
Or was the Gamecube version actually 4 player and the box just mis-printed?
Pity, because it would be a good multiplayer game...

Well seeing as everyone played GTA3 first - They expected more from Vice City. But Vice City is just the same with a few added extras - Its obvious you will prefer the former.
Imagine if Vice City was released BEFORE GTA3 - What would you say then ?

Well, the bikes and choppers were an advantage - but GTA3 did have trains and subways, and gang specific modded cars which makes up for it. Vice had improved gameplay dynamics (e.g. jumping out of moving cars) slightly, so that is an advantage, but GTA3 had so much more.
Lets face it; most weapons in Vice were useless, and there were plenty in GTA3, buying property was nice, but it didn't beat having your own safe house which was in the same place each time. The radio was much better in GTA3 (by a country mile), the missions were pretty much the same - as were the voice actors and graphics.
What GTA3 had over Vice was an interesting, living, breathing city. The design was flawless and captivating - whereas in Vice it was generic, repetitive and lifeless. Sod being able to enter buildings, I want a bit of imagination in my games. And that was the upper hand that GTA3 possessed.
I thought we'd got past the silly stage of staggered release dates .... bah.
my pc is getting on a bit and I can't afford to update it right now, so looks like I'll have to wait an extra month and a half for some decent saber action.
I suppose I can console myself with Knights of the Old Republic though....

nah, the mokeybikes make it great, as do the choppers, the ridiculous amount of guns, buying property, real music, excellent missions, voice actors and better graphics .... I reckon

Happened to me too. Plus all of my mates. At the same time. Just after the warranty expired. Coincidence? I think not...
And the Xbox is less than stable when running Morrowind.. you could be playing for hours, then lose it all.
Haven't had any problems whatsoever with the GameCube, though.
