my ps2 won't play my games it keeps making a funny noise and it go straight to the browser menu!

Your best bet to get it fixed is by ringing the Sony careline up (the number is in the back of most gaming manuals) and tell them the problem. If your PS2 is under warranty i think they should fix it, or replace it for free, if not, you might have to pay for it.

If you want to try something before that to make sure the lense is clean, go out and buy a standard lense cleaning kit and try that out, least you will know the lense is clean then, and if it still doesnt work, something is wrong.

sorry for this alastair and you may think im a bit of a to$$pot anyway, but i was just doing that crap a couple of days ago, because i like winding you up in particular. ive actually played 8 games on the cube. i think theyre all there or there abouts. tthe xbox isnt that bad either, but ive made my decision to buy a ps2 and so ill stick with it. lucky you for owning all 3...

in the options is your reading speed the normal one?
are the discs clean?
i think the problem is the reading head lens...

yes and then it just keeps saying reading disc and that is on for about 30mins
