I played it in a shop yesterday and, er. Muh? It seemed like a hyperactive video of Devil May Cry. I heard people ranting about it and wondered what all the fuss was about.
All I did was hammer the two attack buttons and jump.

Repetitive?
Repetitive my ass - Its a pure sega masterpiece.
• Loads of magic to take advantage of
• Smash buildings into pieces.
• Smash chunks of wall into pieces
• Create crators into the ground
• Smash enemies into rocks/walls and they crumble on impact
• Jump into the air and totally batter your enemies (matrix style)
• Varied enemies to fight
• Huge boss battles
• Amazing graphics (I emphasize the word 'amazing')
Granted - There is just 3 buttons to use for attack - But its definatly not repetitve. I love it and i'm definatly buying it.
Famitsu gave it 31/40 - Which is pretty high for an Xbox game.
But I'm not saying Otogi is a bad game, I actually did enjoy the demo because of the sheer speed, and carnage you can cause. It's a really good arcadey game and I enjoy it so I'll still probably get it, and yes, the graphics are quite special too.
Look at Panzer Dragoon Orta, just fly in a linear line shooting things all the time, but that's stil fun ain't it?.
