Its an equal to Halo in every way from what I have played so far and up to press its playing better than Skies of Arcadia. I don't really know where to start...
Anyone who has any queries just ask them one at a time and I will try to answer them. Played about 1 hour so far so I have got a pretty decent grasp of it.
Fire away people :)
A good thing is that the game pauses before a battle (can be turned off in options menu) and this allows you to set a load of moves up before you go into battle. Haven't tried turn based yet and I don't think I will bother as the fighting really does kick ass.
Lol. I think your gonna have a job tonight Ali with everyone forcing questions on yer :P
Can you just like explore 'outside' of the town your in or not?

You start off on a shipthat is being attacked and from there someone enters the room who will tell you the basics of what you need to do and how to access everything which implements nicely into the story. You can choose to rescue one of the main Jedi's or go down the darkside and head straight for the escape pods. I wasn't feeling evil so I opted to help out.
When you land on the next area you start in an apartment block and from here you are given someone to help you get around the city (he also helped you escape the ship) and you can basically go anywhere and do anything as the other guy is a specialist in door hacking and security cracking. So technically anywhere in the game os open to visit however you will need the skills to get there unless you are given someone with the skills.

You obviously don't get a lightsabre straight away then?

No you get a small sword and some armour. From there you can steal all of your dead enemies weapons and then trade them in or sell them or even keep them :)
The good thing is that the item system allows you to assign something to every part of the body by selecting the correct box. For example you can assign something to the left hand and then something different in your right hand yet they can both be used at once. Tis very impressive!
Disappointing news on Operation Flashpoint. Apparently not out till late December which basically means it won't be released this year.
