The question is this:
With cologne/aftershave/fragrance, do you care what the bottle looks like?
Companies spend millions designing new packaging for male toiletires.
Do you honestly care?
"And so far, the opinion is "Doesn't matter what the bottle looks like" for 99% of the guys."
The problem is though, you'll present these findings to them, and they'll say "Yeah, but subconciously they will buy something that looks better, it's the X factor, isn't it?"
You will not win because of positions of heads up certain passages. Always the same.
> what is aftershave?
what is cologne?
what is a fragrance?
All the same thing.
Aftershave/Cologne/EDT (Eau De Toilette)
Same product, different terms.
The reason I ask is this:
We were having a presentation of new fragrance launches for next year at work, all in expensive designer bottles etc and I said "Well, blokes couldn't give a monkey's what it looks like"
"Well some do"
"No we dont. You can put it in a plain metal tin and call it "Smell" for all we care, as long as it does the job"
They disagreed, so I wanted to get opinions from other blokes, different ages etc as to what they thought.
And so far, the opinion is "Doesn't matter what the bottle looks like" for 99% of the guys.
Women go for all the fancy stuff, bottles shaped like teardrops etc, whilst we men just shrug and use it if we like it.
Men: Practical and basic
Women: Flowery and poncy.
