Glengarry Glenross should have definitely got Best Script. It's unbelieveably good.

Um, Arlington Road was the biggest pile of excretion since unsliced bread. No wonder it did poorly. and Heat SHOULD have got best actor and best script. Dogma, on the other hand, should have walked with best director. Go go K mith!

I don't think that's really true, is it?

Gladiator - Did that bore you half to death. I don't think so.

Crouching Tiger - Again, I think not.

Traffic - DAMN GOOD!!!!

Crimson Tide - If I remember correctly, this picked up 3 academy awards and it's not boring at all. How it won awards though I don't know. It's not bad but it's Jerry Bruckheimer. And before anyone says "but he didn't direct it", I know that.

And I think you're forgetting awards for acting as well. Acting doesn't matter about the film and how boring or exciting it is.

And let's not bring up Heat. :-D

Ok then, tell us just how many awards that picked up then? I'd love to know, it seems to pick up an award nowaday the film has to bore you to death anyways. Just take a look at Traffic, that was the biggest pile of *Stops before he gets banned* and still that got a load of awards.

Things like Heat and Arlington Road are both exceptional films yet they don't get noticed as award winning films, unless it be for best car chases which you can now get as an award at the 'National Stunt Awards'.

I have a huge collection of DVDs (about 150) and home entertainment equipment in general. I love movies so spend practically all my money on fulfilling my movie desires.

However, if the film isn't out on DVD it is rather hard to get hold of, don't you think? In those situations the internet is a handy tool - you always know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who can sort you out.
