Anyone have a speccy? Bask in the nostalgia here!
About 4 colours on screen at any one time, sound effects put to shame by modern mobile phones, loading times of 15 minutes and upwards, games costing £1.50 at ASDA. Golden Age!
So what games did you procure for your little rubber keyed friend?

nope. fact.
it actually happened!!
it also appeared an the C64 and the Mater System :)
the speccy version was funny though, 2 tone backgrounds and wireframe fighters... still, i applaud the effort :)
On spectrum?
lies.
I played on a 128k once. it took 20 minutes to load, then said 'tape loading error'
many expletives were expressed

and yet Streetfighter 2 STILL came out on the Spectrum.
HONEST!!!!
meeeeeeeeeemories!
The nnnnnnnghhh .. nip.
nnnnnnnnnnngggh diddly didldy diddly nnggh ngnh nip.
... and so on.
And the fun hallucinogenic colours that surrounded the screen whilst these ear piercing sounds were going on.
You tried walking away, but the slightest gust of wind that might disturb the tape player would result in crashing the machine. I lost count of the number of times I'd return after loading Ghouls and Ghosts, gingerly close the door before sneaking up to my Kempston joystick, then ruin it all by sitting down too quickly.
Good days.
