Following the success of the Amiga Classics thread.

Anyone have a speccy? Bask in the nostalgia here!

About 4 colours on screen at any one time, sound effects put to shame by modern mobile phones, loading times of 15 minutes and upwards, games costing £1.50 at ASDA. Golden Age!

So what games did you procure for your little rubber keyed friend?

It is the Amstrad Emailer Plus web phone. You can get them quite easily. Amstrad bought over Spectrum you see.

I had loads of speccy games. My fav was Dick Tracy.

You may be interested in this, Borat...

Recently Sinclair (At least I think it was Sinclair, may have been Commodore) bought out a phone recently that you could use for your email, the internet, normal calls and playing loads their classic games, with an option to download more from the internet.

Unfortunatey I think that it was only a limited edition or very expensive.

my memory let me down on that one, i seem to remember a screenshot of blanka looking particularly "outline only"...

The Speccy even got it's own version of Doom!

no way!!! that's cool...
you know there was a show in brighton a few weeks back for c64 users, some people have managed to get their c64 online (not to any great degree, mind.. but you gotta applaud the effort :) ) and other ridiculous things!!

Street Fighter 2 was released for the speccy (although the fighters weren’t wire frame)... The Speccy even got it's own version of Doom!

Death, Snowball in Hell and Ruff 'n' Reddy were amazing. Especially so with Snowball in Hell. Best puzzler ever.

I still have my Spectrum. And 150 games. I've tried selling it so many times (since a lot of the games are classics) but nobody will take it. :c(
