That's good news. Now I'll have to get myself a copy, if I think it's worth it. I don't play a lot of PC games, mostly consoles as I have pretty trashy PC's by current standards.

AoE 2 isn't too new, I guess it's kinda old, I found the full specs for you:

Microsoft® Windows® 95/98/Me/XP/NT 4.0 with service pack 5
PC with 166 MHz equivalent or higher processor
32 MB of system RAM
200 MB available hard disk space, 100 MB of available hard disk space for swap file
4x speed or faster CD-ROM drive
Super VGA with 2 MB of video memory
Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play

There you go :) It'll work on yours.

Yeah, I've only got a 400 which is very pretty out of date now. None of the newer games will work on it.

Yes, it's much more than an update, an update is the AoE 2 expansion - The Conquerors and that's only got 3 new civs and a couple of new maps.

Well it still runs on my old Pentium 3 today so I think your PC will be fine. I have no idea where my AoE 2 box is so I can't give you the specs as it's not on the CD case but have a search on the net and you'll probably find them.
