Okay, I'll make a note of it.

I don't know. With the downforce being taken away, I would assume it would be harder to stay behind another car.

It'll mean more overtaking, I would imagine. I compare this tyre rule to Motorbikes where they have the same kinda rule. If someone sprints off at the start of the race, he'll probably ruin his tyres and spend the rest of the race going backwards...

Whether it's the right kind of over-taking I'm not so sure.

Very true. That would mean a harder tyre for a longer life. It also means that the car has to handle well because a poor handling car will ruin the tyres more.

I can't see how all these changes will improve overtaking. Maybe it will, I don't know.

They also have to make the tyres they have in qualifying last all through qualifying and the race itself.

IMHO, this will be a massive benefit to the 'smoother' drivers, like Schumacher, Button and Coulthard. Wheras the ragged, edge-of-your seat drivers like Montoya will be penalised.

Very bad decision, as it's the likes of Montoya who add most of the excitement to a race.

The FIA are trying to slow the cars down because the cars have been getting progressively quicker over the years to the point that it is deemed dangerous.

So, the FIA have said, in order to slow the cars down, take away about a quarter of the downforce and make the cars harder to drive. I think there is talk of 2.5 litre engines as opposed to the 3 litre they currently use. That would mean less power too.

Chances are, in 3-5 years, they would probably get all that was lost back. Whether it will improve the spectacle of F1 remains to be seen.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
