Look at Snake's face! WOW!

The GC will never me able to do that.

The Gamecube can do better textures and higher resolutions than the PS2. The PS2 can push more polygons and more particles around the screen. Neither is therefore better although it is easier for people to claim that the Gamecube is better because on the most part, screenshots of Gamecube games will be more impressive than those of PS2 games.

Resident evil is a perfect example. On the GC the textures are far superioir to any game for the Playstation 2, but the character models and animation are no where near as good as Metal Gear Solid 2. This war will never be won because both the systems have clear advantages over the other.

The PS2 may be a great and poweful console, and has some truly breathtaking games, most of which I own, but that doesn't make the Gamecube a crap console. For all we now, it could come up with some brilliant games, some of which will challenge games like GT3 of even Metal Gear Solid 2.

That's it now, I have had enough of the 'this console is more powerful' talk.

Time to go to work.

See ya later.

But they power not only relates to graphics, but to opertaions as well. Kojima said that MGS just wouldn't be possible on anything before the PSone, because of the AI. The same goes for G Surfers and Conflict Zone. The PS2's superior power enables it to achieve much better things than it's breatheren, and (possibly) more than the GC. All these things go towards better games.

Sorry Ant, but won't this just start the argument up again.

Humm...I was sure it had been proved. Anyway, I was only telling Steve Nintendo, not anyone else.

And also, I agree with kinglik. As you saw with the PSX, graphics vastly improved over 5 years. Hopefully the same will happen with the PS2.

A good point has been brought up here. The full power of the PS2 has still yet to be exploited.
Of course, once the Gamecube is released, the same will be said for that, but still.
The games will just keep on progressing.

The Gamecube's launch games are, graphically, more impressive than any PS2 game. The Ps2 may be powerful, but we'll never know that unless a developer can exploit that power.
