Yes they have East Midlands and they have a good bus service straight to the city centre, don't know about flying to Exeter though although at the minute it's still the winter timetable so it will change at the start of April have to have a look then.

6 hours by National Express and £45. But I'd have to leave at 8am to get there for mid-day and then get the coach back the next morning at 7:15 (so I'd need somewhere to stay)

The problem with that would be that I'd be taking 2 days out, not 1...

I think it's going to cost me £60 and 4 hours each way. I dont mind it for a one-off though.
