At last Nintendo seem to have got it right. The price cut of the CUBE to £79.99 is a fantastic lifeline for the console. The release of some of the most anticipated games in the next 2 months and the fantastic advertising campaign that (I hope) Nintendo have up their sleeve for the run up to Christmas. This should help put the cube to at least the number 2 position in the console sales race! But if the US is anything to go by it might even be the number one this Christmas in the UK.

As i've already said Nintendo just need that absolute killer ad campaign in the run up to crimbo for the likes of mario kart, 1080 and f-zero to make it the best Christmas ever!

I just cannot wait to see those sales figures for the next few months.

Nintendo gears up for Christmas with record breaking sales of the Gamecube.

Nintendo have already managed to overtake Sony in Japan towards the end of August but they've also managed to do it in America during the last week. Reports of a successful advertisement campaign and heavy sales of their recent European price drop has meant the Gamecube could do it again in Europe.

With many smash hit titles due on Gamecube this Christmas including Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg, F Zero GX and Mario Kart Double Dash!! It is perfectly likely that the next 3 months could place Nintendo right back into the console war.

Nintendo have already confirmed a whole host of titles due for the first half of 2004 and beyond in europe. Including the return of massive Playstation franchise' Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy and the long awaited finale to the Resident Evil series. Nintendo's home grown champions including Mario 128, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Donkey Konga, Pikmin 2, Starfox 2, various Zelda titles, various Pokemon games and Animal crossing 2 will also help ensure a successfull 2004. Not to mention more exclusive content from Capcom, upcoming shooter Geist and Pilotwings... with still many more titles to be confirmed. It is safe to say Nintendo are here to stay, especially with the likes of new Metroid and Zelda... all due within the next year or 2.

Here's to the future.

Dringo.

Guy down at my local SR store on Tuesday didn't really have a clue when some bloke asked him out this:

"Have the 'Cubes gone down in price?"

"Are the 'Cubes going down in price???"

"...Oh! No. We're waiting for before we do it [or something like that... - he really made no sense!]"

Made me chuckle, anyway. :)

Can someone give me link to where I can view this advert?

Even if it's just some stills of the advert.

What's wrong with the drop price ad?

I thought it was one of their better adverts.

If the ads are anything like the price drop one they'll suck.
Hopefully they get some decent ad people to come up with ideas.
