Second was disappointing to be honest. Enjoyed it at first but quickly got bored and moved on. All this is really doing is hepling to kill of the Cube which I don't want to happen.

If it is true I think it's more of a case of a publisher wanting more money for a licence they've undoubtedly had to pay a ton of cash for. If it doesn't sell enough on the Gamecube, and Nintendo aren't willing to front up some cash to compensate, then they have to go elsewhere. Nothing malicious about it, they just want money.
Pro Evolution 3 was rumours and it didn't have any truth behind it.
Just goes to show that gaming companys cant rely on one console nowdays to bring in the money.
