Indeed. It hasn;t escaped my attention, either, that many PS2 owners have suffered the same malady.
I must have just been lucky. My Ps1 never went wrong!!! most poeple I know theirs broke.

My original had the same problem. Something to do with the lense dropping down I presume.

Mine laways worked oK. I just sold it when I got a PS2
