I've just spoken to David S and he wishes to put on a Sci Fi skirmish featuring armed civilians and bugs from Steve's Starship Troopers collection. As last year I think.

They are mainly balsa wood hulls with paper and card upper works. Brass tubing for smoke stacks etc, etc.

Well I have found some full size plans of a 24 ft launch which works out at 200mm so that is about right. I think i cam make a decent waterline model out of card.

When is the Open Day?

The launch I've just measured is 200mm but up to 300mm would do. You need to get 4 figures aboard for the game. If I can find any examples and photos on line I'll post a link.

There's one from PMC sometimes sold on e-bay. I have a photo of it if anyone's interested.

What sort of size in mm are the launches you have?

Yes 25mm. Feel free to add to the fleet with a steam launch. I always say; one can never have too many boats. I believe we'll need about 6. I have 2 or 3 and David has 2, I think.
