"Edge give MKDD 5 out of 10 ?"

Not sure if it's a rumour or true/in the latest issue, wouldn't surprise me knowing them.
Apparently they've based their score on just the single player part of the game.

I've never bought an issue of Edge and don't see that changing, good job MKDD isn't on the PS2 or it would have got an ever lower score .......

I'm sorry, but redeye is crap? Hah.
I'm not going to fight a battle for EDGE here as, as they say themselves, it's not for everyone.

They do give honest scores. as someone said, a 5 in EDGE is like a 7 or 8 in any other magazine, and their articles are great, as well as insightful.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Edge score what the want. This game is selling truck loads of cubes.

Did I say calling it average was ripping it apart? No. I said they like to rip games apart and then score them after completely gutting a game. In this case they 'apparently' gave Mario Kart 5/10.

I would hardly say calling the game average is "ripping it apart". Edge's reviews don't always match exactly with how I would view a game, but then that's how these things work. I hate Edge for taking a moral high ground, especially the comically bad Red Eye and Steven Poole, but they more say things the wrong way than say the wrong things.

I'm sorry, but the way this thread reads is; "those guys are different - get them!!!”

I don't think many people buy MK for SP..mainly multiplayer and thats what matters to me, its the best one on cube imo!
