That may well be true, the fact does remain tho that the N5's software is ofcourse currently in development, irrespective to how it is being done :P

The devolopers are given xxx anount of data to work from, which basically says 'this is how much console power we have to work with' in order to optimise the software to the consoles processing/data transferring/image rendering abilities as much as possible.

Thing is though, when games are developed in advance of the consoles release, and ahead of the hardware being finalised, games are developed using computers and emulation software.

For instance, 2 years before the release of the GC the games were developed on Apple Mac G4s. Of course when the hardware was finalised then it was run on it.

Let me clarify a little...

The specs (at least some) are what ive been hearing from far more reliable sources, these tie in fully with the spec in the picture therefore i believe it to be genuine.

As for the actual picture of the N5 im not so sure... it may well be fake but the specs certainly appear accurate.

If anybody believes for 1 minute that Nintendo themselves dont yet have developers making games for the next console then they are extremely foolish, Nintendo will not release a console with no software on it and the expected release for the N5 is March 2005 (Japan) October 2005 (Europe) which roughly translates to just 16 months time (Japan) which isnt as far away as some people might think.

Erm... you think it's genuine even though that picture was released ages ago with both XBox and GameCube logos on it, and now someones nicked the picture and claims it's the N5?

Yeah...
