Started with the laughing stick-on mouth.
Now we have the dancing robot & the bird.
Could anyone else advertise their product without showing it or what it can do?
Simple and effective. Bizarre but highly memorable. I don't know how they keep coming up with them.
I'm also sure that if Nintendo DID come up with the idea first, everyone with a GameCube would be praising the ads to high heavens - not slating them for petty reasons like some are now.
And, anyway, i'm just wondering... what other reasons do you have for joining these forums?
Enjoy disliking me, because I really don't care.
I haven't been around here for months, and pretty soon I'll be off again, leaving you to whine about things with so many other haters who populate these forums.
So you don't need to worry your little head about it. Just ignore me and I will go away. Eventually.
I own a PS2.
I've just seen you post before.
This is all.
> And I thought i was a fanboy...
Maybe you are.
I'm only commenting on the adverts, not the consoles.
I do own a Gamecube, though. Just thought you should know that.
This is degenerating into what could almost be considered a Console Wars thread.
Why do I say that?
I haven't been around here for a while, but if I recall correctly, all of the people who have so far said that they dislike the adverts are... basically...
Ninty's!
Shock! Horror!
I know I said I dislike the GC ad, and Cyclone was right - we aren't comparing adverts. The only reason is I mentioned it is the ridulous girly "Woohoo!" at the end.
I have no doubt I'll be told I'm wrong, but I'd be willing to bet the Ninty's would all be raving about the PS2 campaign and how thoroughly original it was... if it was pushing Gamecube.
> Wookie, you really do annoy me.
Thank you, you've made my day!
Whoever you are...
Plus the campaign does clearly revolve around the "buy it because it's cool" idea that the PS2 has always pushed. Hpwever, it should be noted that this strategy works, it's still selling.
