1080 Avalanche really ends a massive Christmas bundle of games. A few third party classics and Mario Party 5 is still to come. But the good news the worst is over. But what of 2004, isn't it now time to get out of the here and now situation in which Nintendo have forced upon us. Is next year going to be any good? What can we expect.

Well for starters the sequel to Wind Waker will appear at next years E3, perhaps with Mario 128 if it is still due for the Gamecube? But regarding major announcements I am hoping... no PRAYING for an announcement for sequels to Excitebike and Donkey Kong. But for now this is what we know will be released. If I miss any do tell me, and please tell me what you are looking forward to.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Harvest Moon
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Pikmin 2
Resident Evil 4
Geist
Starfox 2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Pilotwings
Donkey Konga
Wario Ware
The legend of Zelda: Four Swords
The Legend of Zelda: Tetras trackers
Pokemon Colleseium
Pacman
Pokemon Box
Pokemon
Animal Crossing 2
Phantasy Star Online Episode III: Card

Dead Phoenix has been definately canned, by the way.. the "exclusive" Capcom 5 dwindles to 4. Pilotwings was never even confirmed in development, it's just rumoured to be in the works with Factor 5 at the helm. Could be coming to GC or N5 though.

I'm looking forward to these games in 2004:

Harvest Moon
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Kirby's Air Ride
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Beyond Good And Evil
Pokémon Colosseum
Pokémon Channel
Star Fox 2
Starcraft: Ghost
Wario Ware
Donkey Konga
Killer7
Pikmin 2
Paper Mario
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords
The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers
Tales of Symphonia
GEIST (more likely 2005 though)
Metroid 2 (again, more likely 2005)
Giftpia (import if it makes it to US)
Baten Kaitos (please NOE bring this to Europe)
Game Zero (if it ever appears)
Skies of Arcadia 2 (same, if it ever appears)
Pilotwings (or on the N5)

and for "200X":

Resident Evil 4 ;)

Game Zero was supposed to be unveiled at this years E3 but for some reason was not.

Pilotwings was NEVER confirmed but near-enough with factor 5 apparently coding it.

The big games for the first half will include Pikmin, Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid... is that not enough?

Yes, it does look like it could indeed be another brilliant year for GameCube owners. Although, we're bound to have the same old "Summer Drout" like we always do; and I wouldn't be surprised if the `better´ of those titles (like the Metroid's and Animal Crossing's) were to appear towards the end of 2004 - like the Mario Kart's and Viewtiful Joe's of this year (even though Metroid Prime and Zelda came out months ago).

So, while we can expect another truck-load of quality, we can also expect to have to wait again, impatiently - especially, being Europeans!

And I though "PilotWings GC" had been 'canned'...?

I'm sure I read something the other month, from Nintendo, stating that this game would NOT be appearing on the GameCube; but instead on Nintendo's next console, currently known as "N5".

And, after all the talk and speculation since the 'Cube was first released, despite how-much I'd love to see this game (finally!), I have my doubts as to whether-or-not "Mario 128" will be released next year - if even on the GameCube at all! :(
