This may come as a surprise, after all the abuse I've given you over the last 18 months (anyone remember 'Pokémin'? or '10 reasons to get an X-Box'?), but i can't help myself...
But information is needed before I go along and put my PS2 on e-bay and pray for a bidder. Matthew wants info. Matt wants reviews. Matt wants info on the best deal. With reviews.
All together now... SELL OUT!
Halo: Combat Evolved
Project Gotham Racing 2
Rainbow Six 3
Go buy, go!
i should get a combined total of around £140 for my PS2, which isn't bad considering I've paid around £120 for it all...
Although I'm not sure :-P
Rainbow Six 3 comes in a proper case, but Halo and MM3 come in paper sleeves (best thing is too stick the manuals on the front of PC/DVD cases and store the games in the cases).
Also the bundles come with S-controllers and the dash board already has a Live option.
Games you need:
Halo
PGR 2
KOTOR
RS3
They really are all sensational. You will probably want a Controller S, most people prefer it. Me being the exception.
If you don't have a DVD player you will also need a DVD remote. No need to worry about memory cards.
The full price of the games, if bought individually would almost make the Xbox free, that's how good the deal is.
Oh and you get a few months of free xbox live too.
As far as games go I'd suggest you play the ones you get in the deal first, then perhaps PGR2 if you like clinical racing, Morrowind will see you through the long winter nights and is cheap now and there's various other ones which are great for Live, multi and single player etc.
It's a damn good console.
Also a couple of excellent games which're buried in the consoles back catatlogue you might enjoy:
Phantom Crash
Deathrow
Serious Sam
BloodRayne
