...but I'm thinking about getting oneof your silly, stupidly large boxes of x, subject to me selling my PS2.

This may come as a surprise, after all the abuse I've given you over the last 18 months (anyone remember 'Pokémin'? or '10 reasons to get an X-Box'?), but i can't help myself...

But information is needed before I go along and put my PS2 on e-bay and pray for a bidder. Matthew wants info. Matt wants reviews. Matt wants info on the best deal. With reviews.

All together now... SELL OUT!

Well 'Officially Online' would be:

RTCW
SF2
Mech Assault
Rainbow Six 3
Ghost Recon
Unreal
Counter Strike (soon)
XIII

'Unofficially' (ie Gamespy etc):

Brute Force
Halo
Serious Sam
+ the ones above as the all support System Link too (except possibly CS).

Serious Sam is too shooty.

Nah, I'll get one with Halo and then ignore it like it deserves.

If by 'shooty' you mean 'copious amounts of bullets with only a little stealth' then I'd suggest Serious Sam or Roadkill.

Well I like real car racers. Gran Turismo style games are a bit heavy going for me, but I would rather have real cars than winged ones, or Karts.

And from a real car stand point at least, PGR 2 is the best ever.

I know what you mean. I detest GT style games, but PGR2 style games, while much more fun, are still a no for me. Rush 2049/Mario Kart style games = Very much yes.

Although racers that are too silly are just stupid. They have to be perfectly balanced.

Well if you mean it has real cars and no fat Italian plumbers in it then yes. If you mean it is one of those hard core racing simulations like Gran Turismo, which is what I consider a serious racer, then no it isn't.

It is the perfect balance between arcade style fun and the skill counts type of driving you get in serious, tweak 'em style racers.

Because it's a proper racing game. :D
