Up until recently, the X-Box didn't really get a look in, until I found this snippet from a news article...
"First on the agenda is Soul Calibur 2, sequel to the finest Dreamcast game ever. Seen the Gamecube screenshots? The Xbox ones will be better - miles better, in fact. As of yet, no details are known about which version will be released first, but the Xbox version is sure to kick some serious console behind when launched.
Second to be announced was a new Ridge Racer title - ooh, about time. Ridge Racer Latest Version (tentative title) will hopefully feature the same blistering speeds as previous versions while adding some seriously hot graphics and the series' awesome gameplay into the bargain as well. Just think back to Ridge Racer V on the PS2 and see what it looks like now - imagine a game that looks twice as good and plays twice as good and you're getting somewhere nearer."
Call that hype or bias? Without screenshots to compare, this article has already stated that the X-Box screenshots will be miles better than the Gamecube ones, and invites you to imagine a game that will look and play twice as good as the PS2.
In a way, I'm not fussed, it's nice to see the X-Box start to get GOOD press, but when you consider that source of this snippet of news (Upwire), then I suppose they have to hype everything a little for sales purposes.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has discovered any 'pro X-Box' multi format magazines flying around yet?

No. Microsoft doesn't want lazy developers, and it will

Since when has MS ever kept a promise other than the release date of the XPs? I'm sure after a while, they'll stop "checking" on the quality of the games in development, in order for there to be more games available to face its rivals, the GC and the PS2. After all, it's quantity that rules over quality in this world.

No. Microsoft doesn't want lazy developers, and it will approve games for release on a console model -- meaning that a game isn't going to hit shelves until its 100% done. The hard drive is meant to be used for additions, or to help the games to move faster, not to fix problems with a finished product. Will this happen according to plan? We can only hope."
Xbox a nightmare to make games for?
Are you sure that it wasnt in a Nintendo magazine (you know what ALL single format mags are like)
From what I'd heard, it was meant to be like making a PC game.
Maybe this is representative of gaming companies?
Anyway, both sites are now offline, and he's not answering his mobile. To be honest, I'm a little worried...
:D
That should be the only reason they compliment the old-bloke-attracting black box of hype...
