It really is sublime. Everything is so nice and fast.

I started off playing a bit of RS3, where at first I got killed loads of times. To get a feel for it online most of the time I just played sharpshooter matches. Great game offline, great game online. I even managed to kill a few myself.

Then for the next couple of hours I played PGR2. Wow. It really is immense. The numerous cars and tracks mean that every race is radically different from the last. I drove all around the world in one night, all from the comfort of my own chair.

The only ever so slight issue I have with PGR2 on Live is that so many other users just get the Enzo and stick with it for every race. Thankfully however I created my own match and spent around 5 happy rounds in Edinburgh using nothing fancier than a Renault Spider. With a couple of decent opponents it was the best racing I'd had.

All in all, I regret being so tight about ordering a router to get it all up and running. Stuff ICS, a router is easier. It just really was superb.

I only have PGR2 and RS3 at the moment, but I hope to pick up a few more Live games soon. Hopefully see some of you on then.

Funny you don't notice pain until after you have worked through whatever it is you were doing. Same with everything, even fights. You only feel the pain at the end.

true, I haven't done that yet though - like you say, you only notice it at the end of the night, and by then you're taking it off anyway.

yep - that's what I was talking about, strangely the right ear is unaffected, although there is no speaker on that side.

I can sit in front of a screen for almost a day without moving really and have no ill effects. But yeah, towards the end of last night the bit of head above my left ear was getting a bit sore.

I just buff up some pillows and lie on my bed, which isn't as comfy as it sounds.

a lazy boy recliner wouldn't go amiss. the real killer is eye-strain though. after 14 hours straight gaming your brain feels like it is frying in your head.

maybe one of those screen filters you get for monitors would be a good idea.

also, the live headset begins to hurt my ears after that long, I have to keep adjusting it to achieve a comfortable grip.

a small price to pay for the ultimate gaming experience.

with regard to command and conquer - I sincerely hope they carry on making those. I've not played Generals as my PC is poo, but I've always loved the series.

True. But I want to use my Xbox for it. At the PC I use a swivel chair. It can be rather uncomfortable after the fifth hour or so. But my Xbox has a big leather chair with foot stool that I built myeslf that I can play from for hours on end.

I doubt we'll see an RTS on the big black box.

still, you can use your PC for that.
