"Don't cry, just because it won an award, it is still crap."

By stating my opinions of a game, and the reason I got rid of it, I have caused some people to come up with the crappest responses ever from a small minority (as expected) who think they can change my opinion after I have given the game a lot more than a fair trial.

This game is KOTOR, the topic, http://ukchatforums.reserve.co.uk /display_messages.php?threadid=90199&forumid=130 and the rest is self explanatory.

I didn't go into detail about all the things I hate about the game, though I think looking back, I should have. I just merely stated my opinion on the game and that I'm trading it in.

Apparently, I should take it all back, get my copy back and love the game purely because some critic gave it an award! WHOO!

If any of you do go there and post your opinion on it all, I don't want an anti-Xbox attack. I am pro X-box almost as much as I am GameCube - I just know utter toss when I've played it.

From what I know of KOTOR, it uses a combat and game system similar to the AD&D games, which are obviously an acquired taste.

And I have a taste for them.

Hence I will be getting it for PC in the new year.

I haven't caused any upset (well, from the mild-abuse I've had in this forum - maybe I have) - but the attitude I do get, for example, in the original topic in the Xbox forum, is that unless I think KOTOR is amazing, I can't have my own opinion.

This forum proves that people still have opinions deep down, even if they are afraid to be different normally, for the responses I've had in here, again, as expected, have shown that it is possible for people to argue on here still.

And if you are getting upset, for example, over being called a prat when you spelt it wrong (:D) then you're taking these forums way too seriously.

What attitude from everyone, calmly stating their opinion?

I think you wanted to be controversial and you failed, so you're going on about it now as if you've caused some huge upset. I don't see it anywhere.

Funnily enough, I won a free copy of Pro Evo 3 for PS2 yesterday.

But, with this topic, I ain't after awards, just making my point.

After all, its working.

To answer you Darwock, it was the whole attitude from everyone that amused me and caused me to start this thread.

I feel I have made my point, and made a bigger point, as has Dringo in this thread, on how people are too politically correct to have an opinion on these forums now...

There was nothing in that original thread worth making a second thread over, it was a pretty dull read. That thing about the award was a tiny throwaway comment, and you've blown it out of all proportion.
