True, my brother always whines about reflections from the windows, although it is annoying and i nearly always end up shutting the curtains and turning the light on when i'm playing on the N64! ok, which idiot invented reflections? (sarchasm intended)

Sure, in the end the main advantages they have is that they save tangled wires, let you have a bit more freedom of your playing position and distance from the console, and are a nice novelty.
On the other hand they munch batteries and cost more, both of which mean they cost more i guess...

They've been around for every, i almost bought one for my master system 2 (until i decided they eat too many batteries and cost too much), and i'm sure they were floating about for ages before that on some level.

I think the reason they're coming back now is because with 4 controlers there are more wires to get tangled, and price has increased enough so that the difference made by adding the IR isn't so much, relative to what you have to pay anyway. Plus more casual gamers like novelties. And it's hard to get all 4 players around the tv within the distance the cable allows, and even if you do, some muppet always whines about the reflection from the windows.

Hmmm, I've written about 500 less posts than you, AfroJoe. And yet, I've written more words. I get the feeling you're one of those peepz that writes those 3-word posts just to notch that figure up. Do you see?

i like the new controller , you can now use all of the availiable buttons , instead of the d pad being ignored on the n64 pad , it's a great improvement.
