Paul R Bostock? I've got an e-mail from him/her/it with an attatchment asking for my advice, and I have absolutely no idea who he is!

the virus is brand new and unless u have updated in the last couple of weeks then it wont do, look at my thread ive jost posted about the virus it contains a link to more info about the virus

So how come my AV software doesn't have anything about it?

Ive just found out something else, the person that it came from may not know u either as when his PC is infected the virus sends its self to every1 in his contact list plus any addresses stored in his cache folder, maybe he picked up ure e-mail from a chat page, ure homepage etc etc

Quite how Paul Bostock got my address anyway I don't know!! Unless he's someone on here, then I have absolutely who the hell he is.

It does make me wonder sometimes who it is who is sending out these viruses, because this is the only discussion forum I know where nearly every week we have a virus alert, which leads me to think that either we've either got someone very stupid who keeps opening email attachments or else we've got a hacker amongst our happy band of posters.

Heh, I don't have a My Documents folder, I'm on an iMac.

I didn't open it, I'm not dense enough to open an attatchment from someone I don't know! The files called answer.zip.pif. That mean anything to you? Thanks anyway!
