WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Codies have announced a new TOCA game on the PS2! They say it will have a proper, engaging storyline with developments both on and off the pitch. So, a racedriver with a girlfriend then.

YEAH!

toca should be good but GT3 in't the best game on PS2 as everyone makes it out to be, Its just recycled into a PS2 version but it's still good. I went down town yesterday with now £97 to finally add to my collection of 6 games and could't find ANY that were worth buying. I think I'll hold out until silent hill 2, alone in the dark 4, devil may cry and MGS2 come out.

anyone played freak out?

I just got (won) Sky Oddyssey. I really recommend it. It lasts for ages and is really hard. It's one of those games you keep trying at, old-style. Ah, games were better back then. Anyway, it's well worth 35 knicker, and you get hours of enjoyment from it.

Having said that, the lure of the Viper GTS-R Team Oreca is getting stronger all the time...

Codemaster's TOCA Touring Cars is quite simply the most fun you can have with racing saloon cars. The AI is just about perfect, you really do feel as if you are up against the pros when you are hurtling around the circuits at 159mph in your Renault Laguna, trying to take out Alain Menu on the corners.

With the first TOCA you could open up cheats that gave you extra features and tracks in the game, as well as a few nice cheats to play around with, mainly fun ones.

The second TOCA had all sorts of extra cars and tracks in it, some with shortcuts if you wanted to divert through a shopping mall and fly down some slippery steps for instance.

But overall the gameplay was superb, slick handling cars, great race action, spectacular damage on the cars, some evil competition on the tracks, the whole thing was just perfect.

PS2 owners are in for a real treat with a TOCA title on its way to them.
