Does anyone have any info on Age of Empires 3? whens it coming out etc.

Definaltly gettin AoE 3 when it comes out

Latest issue of PC Gamer gives a small tidbit of information on AoE 3. Basically, it says along the lines of -

Microsoft are saying very little at this stage, but PCG apparently know the game is in development, and expect a showing at this year's E3, with a Christmas release on the cards.

3D ruined Railroad Tycoon 3: The 2D Railroad Tycoon 2 was great, and the flat, quirky Railroad Tycoon was perfectomundialdo.

This is what many people disliked about AoM. The 3D part of it, as well as being damn unfair to those who don't know how to use it, it made games lag alot, i couldn't even play it alone, nevermind with 7 other people.

I personally dont like the new outlook of Command and Conquer generals. I prefer the old styles and I think the new graphics are pretty poor and just plain weird.

yeah I agree. I think AOE III should not be made into a total 3-D rendered environment because it would completely spoil the feel of the series. I think AOE II is an all time great!

If there was going to be an age of empires 3 they would make it 3d, i think this will ruin it, because it will take away the aspect of it being a simulation type game.

I like the 2d-ness of it. it makes it seem less comercialised and unrealistic.
if there was a 3 it would be great aslong a they dont make it 3d.
