Several publishers have licensed DemonWare's technology, including Sega, THQ, Ubisoft, Atari, and Activision, but it may only be the latter that uses it in the future.
Irish newspaper Sunday Independent is reporting (registration required) that Activision has acquired DemonWare for an undisclosed sum. The paper says the deal could be worth upward of 15 million euros ($19.7 million).

Eidos expands into Montreal!
This is great considering the sort of stuff that comes out of Montreal such as the Ubisoft titles and the new pool of talent a brilliant company like Eidos now has available to it.
Now if they could just sort out some Deus Ex and Thief sequels...
