He may not be the best Oscar-winning actor ever, but he has given us some kick-ass action films, so lets see what you think his TOP FIVE BEST ACTION FILMS are, and also name one dud film which would even make Arnie cringe...
These are mine:
5) COMMANDO
4) PREDATOR
3) TRUE LIES
2) TOTAL RECALL
1) TERMINATOR
And the duff one: JINGLE ALL THE WAY

I agree! I've always taken his acting as very 'tongue-in-cheek'. He's not the greatest actor by far, but I like most of his films, all the same. He certainly has a BIIIIG screen presence.
Sure, the Hitler Youth was a nasty idea by a nasty little man. But when your young you make mistakes, i`m sure he must regret making that choice ever since he came to live in the States. As for the stuff regarding his wife, well how much of that is true and how much is made up by the Press?. Just like his films, truth and fiction have proberly become so blurred we can no longer tell.
All i know is i`ve enjoyed at least some of his films and listed them. He is very capable of giving us some real stinkers and some of his recent efforts fall well short of classics like Predator and Terminator. Oh, and i hope he`s learnt to leave comedy to those who can make us laugh unintentionally. But on the whole, when Arnie`s on form the result is normally worth the cinema ticket.
But thank you for reminding us of Arnolds past anyway.
The Terminator was good, because he didn't speak much.
Anything else just plain stinks the place out.
Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
End of Days was rubbish though and I think it's a shame that the first ever 18 I saw was Commando.
Then, the next week, Predator was on and that instantly became my favourite film despite scaring the hell out of me. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I got a milkshake out of the local chip shop (although I can't remember what flavour so not quite as if it were yesterday). I remember who babysitted me as well an I now babysit his kids.
Oh I feel so young again. Oh.....sorry, I didn't realise I was typing this all out. Wake up, wake up.
:)
I was now finally old enough to watch those types of films - away from the world I knew before consisting of Disney and Family comedies and mild films with sexual references and swearing! The Terminator films I absolutely loved and still do.
IT was shear quality - a blend of amazing action scenes, an on the edge of your seat storyline and had Arnie at his best. After seeing Arnie in this film I can honestly say that the rest of his films are not really that good. Not even Total Recall sorry :/. Some of his films are good but not as good as the Terminator films.
Firstly his one liners in Terminator "I'll be back" and "Asta La Vista baby" can't be matched. Film directors have taken Arnie and tried to match them but none have been successful at all. What was going on in "Jingle all the Way?" Don't tell me Kindergarten Cop was his worst - you must be forgetting this one with Anakin Skywalker the little kid in it.
The thing that was so good about the Terminator films was that they had this survival action theme. People were being protected in both of the films against what were unbeatable enemies. I thought End of Days was really good as it was alot like the Terminator films. I loved the special effects and the way you one minute thought the enemy was dead only for him to come back to life. Terminator 2 was the best for this - when the Liquid metal man was frozen I was on the edge of my seat (is this it?) only to find out it wasn't. It was gripping stuff. I just loved the way that these people were fighting against unbeatable odds and could at any minute lose. There were some great scenes - the police station rampage in Terminator 1 and the chases in Terminator 2.
The storyline was in my mind one of the best I have ever seen. It was the first film I'd ever seen that questioned time travel and it really fascinated me.
Without a doubt the Terminator films were the best films of Arnies time. Will he ever better them? I don't think so sadly. He is destined to be fighting in mediocre action films like "Sixth Day" which are quite entertaining but pretty average.
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha, it is. Bang bang bang bang bang.
You WILL be assimulated into a Trekkie....
(and thats MORE unpleasent than Commando!) :-D
Then I realised you simply
> immitating ol`Arnie by lacking punctuation in your
> sentences.
Actually, I am not immitating him, I AM HIM. And thanks for the comment about getting worse. Now get in line Commander Borgdrone.
:)
