What is the best console according to you which was released when the video game industry was a baby? I mean pre 90s
Atari 2600, 5200 7800 Sega Master System or Colecovision, Intellivision or something else?
According to me it is the NES, originally released as the FamiCom (FamilyComputer) in 1983 in Japan and then released in 1986 in the USA as the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). It is the console which captivated the multi-billion dollar video game industry as we know it today. It recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in September, earlier this year.

the best for me was the megadrive sonic was the best games on it.

the megadrive was the best in the early 90's
but gaming life went on and the megadrive intruduced its killer 3D

the megadrive deid out becoase it couldnt handle the powerful geaphics that gamers wanted. they started to introduce 3D in gaming but gamers wanted musch more and that was it.

My favourite 'old' console is the Mega-Drive.

But the SNES is something I've never actually owned, I may look into it.

My all time console at the minute is the MEGADRIVE.
I did'nt agree with the snes at the time and i thought the megadrive had well better games, Well apart from the snes SHADOWRUN (that game kicks ass).
Anyway the megadrive was the all time ruler and always will be in my books..
SEGA were not scared about showing us what they could do, and back then they showed us.

I've never owned any consoles, just PCs. But my old Pentium 120 was great fun- over 100 games with quirky old graphics to choose from! :)

The spectrum, it was simple with simple based games, but was brilliant for its time. Hours of fun with that machine... memorys.
