It got a really bad kicking by the press, but I reckon it's a good film, one to watch with a lady. I've seen it at the piccies and now I have it on DVD and I can't see anything abhorrently wrong with it - it's stylish, it has substance, I think the problem may be that the book wasn't apparently up to much.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I did think Hopkins was a touch benign, lost the fear that he commanded in Lambs, but still stood head and shoulders over most of the toss pumped out last year.
Ridley Scott is superb.
