I think the Eyetoy is a great idea in theory, and in practice it's quite fun after a night out or if you want something a bit different, but there are so many more possibilities.

If Sony had allowed the camera to zoom then you could have your whole body on screen instead of just your upper half. This would open up a world of new things to do;

Full on Dancing
---------------
Sure, Eyetoy Groove is fun with all those licenced songs, but what you really want is to see your whole body on the screen, legs flying all over the place and arms waving like a monkey on steroids. Just imagine having to provide accurate movements to the Cheeky Girls song or doing the Timewarp and being marked out of 10.

1 on 1 fighting
---------------
Yeah, you can beat up a robot on the eyetoy, but how about going against a real boxer in the ring and being able to move your whole body around? Go up against Tyson (watch your ears), Bruno in a pantomine costume and many others. You could even try kick-boxing and if you're in to hugging big sweaty men, you could try wrestling.

Vice City - Street Mission
---------
Why not let yourself go with a full body Eyetoy version of Grand Theft Auto Vice City? You may not be able to drive, but wonder around picking up weapons and challenging the police.

Real Unreal
-----------
FPS games will seem boring after playing this. Face your enemy head on over broadband and actually see them as you blow them to bits. Watch the glory as you frag all your mates rather than a boring computer created character.

See Sony - you could make it so much more entertaining...

No, but with a name like BrownEyeToy you wouldn't need a slogan.

Yes, many people found the overly detailed instructions to be a tad anal.

That'd be with the new 'Eyetoy: Enema' pack, maybe?

owwwww i was playing it Non-stop last night....I'm aching all over...:(
Yes they could do a lot of the things with the eye toy.But i think having a GTA version would KILL the fun of it a bit.You are supposed to be moving your body; not blowing up people with Machine guns.......

Firstly just a point someone made about getting your real likeness in Tonyhawks underground. Activision do offer something like that. You send them a digital picture of yourself, they convert it into the game code and you download it, via Xbox live or PS2 network to get a likeness of you in the game. Havn't tried it, no xbox live but I would if I have. Firstly I know you guys are looking into the future, but the PS2 could no way handle anything more than hitting little ninja's from the corner of the screen. Also, the eyetoy is shocking quality! The eyetoy play game (havn't played groove), is alot of addictive fun (be warned you will ache), but it is abit thin, once the novelty actor wares off- It will. I hope the post about the Xbox camera is not true. Common, where already getting a wannabe rapstar game with a mic you plug in a you make a fool of yourself on 40 licensed tracks, don't ruin the respectable xbox. Just think of this. Without virtual reality googles, you are never going to get to actually get inside Gta and the fact this is mentioned using the eyetoy camera- should raise eyebrows all round. Nice idea, maybe in the year 2300 something. May be done before, but the public will not see anything of the like for at least a couple of centurys, I guarentee
