This list includes all the Notables who have voted. No Notable has voted for any other candidate. My inclination is that he could have got Meka's vote too.

I very pleased to say therefore that pb is being given the status of notable.

There will be one other notable chosen too.

In future votes only regulars and notables will be allowed to vote and hopefully this will remove some of the concerns expressed this time (concerns which I understand but I don't think are outside the rules).

I think that it was a very good point of Tonys.

Anyone who gets votes from all 7 of the forums most respected writers is obvious something special.

What's more, he didn't ask for a single vote.
He never once said "vote for me" and he never started any campaings of the sort. His votes where out of pure respect for his writing.

That is how a notable SHOULD be elected.

Nah, Pb should be a notable and everyone here knows it... okay so the decision wasn't quite as authodox as the other ones but it would happen now or later....

I realise that, but if it makes people feel better then, I don't mind not being a notable.

Let me make myself clear on this:

pb, I don't have a problem with you being a notable.
I have a problem with how it happened, but that's nothing to do with you.

Sorry mate, but I do. You clutter this forum up with junk, you start loads of new topics that annoy people, I have done some research only to find that, on average, you start 15 topics a day. You start console wars, you are biased and you are resposible for all little crews such as TSQ.



Only joking mate! :-) You deserve to be a notable and anyone who says that you shouldn't are simply jealous. There is nothing to dislike about you.

Accept notable status and keep up your good work and service to the forums.

I wonder what would happen in a re-election. (Tony would balk at the idea of having to do this all again, I know, but theoretically) I'm not happy taking Notable status unless everyone's happy with me getting it to be honest. I like the idea of people thinking I write some good posts, doesn't everyone? But I don't want to feel guilty at becoming a Notable. This is not because of what Goatboy says, or anyone else, just my own opinion.

So if people have objections against me being a Notable, say so and I will refuse the title before my name becomes that strange gold colour.

Oh, and I think we'd need to explain the idea of why you should vote for someone, as I don't really think a lot of newer people got the idea. As I see it (and I may well be wrong) it's for the person who you think has made an impact on the FOG forums and posted topics that were interesting and informative. In short, a person who has made a difference to the FOG forums, not just befreinded someone.

This is open to interpretation of course. It could be that you've never spoken to this person, or that you don't know them from Adam, but you've seen their posts and liked them, or that you know them well from this site (and not on MSN or outside of FOG) as they have built up a character here.

I don't know. Anyone else got an opinion? I think this thing is going to run and run.
