Sorry, but this is not just you and grix, if it's a subject that I feel strongly about then I'll post my opinions.

Spam can and does have an effect on the whole forum - remember why newbies can't post on prime any more? We don't want any more restrictions imposed that affect the whole community.

I don't think Grix is overreacting at all, he's doing what he thinks is best for the forums, and I agree with him completely. Reply quoting message is there so you can pick up on a message which has gone further down a thread to make it clear what you're replying to, or to disect a post and reply to each section individually - NOT so you can increase your word count.

Spamming adds nothing to this forum - your argument was that it's entertainment for people, but look around now, do we seem particularly entertained? We come here to talk about games and related topics, not flood threads out with single repeated words and quotes from previous messages.

If you do care about this forum, you should stop, now.

It's for people to copy the message, so they can SELECT THE PARTS THEY ARE REFERING TOO, so everyone knows what they are talking about.

What you lot are doing, and I can say that because you are the leader, and must accept what has happened, is just quoting one message, and writing a single God damn word at the end.

So, what are you going to do about it? Nothing? Let these forums fall apart even more?
